A mum has launched an emotional appeal for witnesses after her son was glassed in the face while trying to break up a fight between rival football fans in a pub.
The innocent victim's eyesight was damaged for life and he was left with scarring to his face after being attacked at the Piccadilly Tap near Piccadilly station in October last year.
Crimestoppers is now offering a £2,500 reward to help catch the thug responsible. Speaking anonymously, the victim's mum said: "Last year, our son's life changed forever when a violent football fan smashed a pint glass into his face, scarring him and damaging his eyesight for life. "He now has only 70 per cent vision in his left eye.
He was trying to break up a fight between two opposing fans when the attack happened. Join our WhatsApp Top Stories and Breaking News group by clicking this link "CCTV captured the entire incident.
