My Mum, Your Dad is back for a second season. The ITV dating show has been dubbed "Love Island for middle-agers". Hosted by Davina McCall, the series follows a group of middle-aged single parents as they head to a romance retreat for a second chance at love which, unbeknownst to them, is overseen by their adult children.
Series two's synopsis reads: “Once again the grown-up kids return to the surveillance room dubbed the ‘Bunker’ where they are entrusted with the fate of their single parents as they search for love in the retreat - watching along, there will be some new twists along the way as they get a front-row seat to how their parents fare in their bid to make a romantic connection and ultimately decide if they give their blessing to any potential matches." Among those looking for love this year is a mum from Cheshire who's been single for 14 years.
Operations manager Jenny, 51, says she has given online dating a go but all she finds is "psychopaths and sociopaths". She's joined on the show by son Malachi, 19.
On applying for My Mum, Your Dad, Jenny said: "Two friends separately sent me the link and said I should apply. They know I’m hopeless so they suggested this as an option to meet someone.
