Murder probe launched after boy, 15, stabbed to death in Lancashire

Police have launched a murder investigation after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Lancashire. Emergency services were scrambled to Digmoor Road in Skelmersdale just after 9pm last night (June 29) to reports that a teenage boy had been stabbed, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Sadly, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old man was arrested. The victim's family members are being supported by specially trained officers. They particularly want to speak to any drivers were on the busy dual carriageway nearby at the time. Inspector Simon Pritchard, of Lancashire Police said: "A murder investigation is underway following the death of a boy in Skelmersdale.
