Mum 'proud' of 12-year-old son after challenging him to do the big shop at Asda
dailyrecord.co.ukA mum who let her 12-year-old son loose in Asda to do the weekly shop has been left very impressed by his budgeting skills.Kelly Miller Richards says her son Vinnie would love to be a chef one day, and in order to challenge him, she let him pick out all their shopping for the week as well as cooking several dinners too.
He was allocated a budget of £50 to get everything he needed for cooking the five evening meals, and not only did he manage to get all the ingredients, but he also came back with change.
Liverpool Echo reports Kelly shared her son's achievement in a Facebook group for families who are trying to get better at budgeting and saving money.
