Michael Oher's Conservatorship Terminated, Frees Control of His Finances From Tuohy Family
justjared.comMichael Oher‘s conservatorship will officially be terminated. The 37-year-old retired NFL star filed a lawsuit in August asking to have the conservatorship that he entered when he was adopted by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy dissolved.

This will effectively give him back control of his finances, which the Tuohy’s assumed when he signed the paperwork. In his initial filing, Michael alleged that he was tricked into the conservatorship and had not received royalties for The Blind Side. Sean responded, denying the latter claim.
The family’s lawyer also alleged that Michael threatened to leak unflattering stories to the press. They later claimed that they never intended to adopt Michael. Sean and Leigh Anne told People that they would not be responding to the court’s ruling.
