Met Office issues Scotland wind and rain weather warnings with 60mph gusts and floods

Scotland could be hit with another bout of wild weather as torrential rain and strong winds may lead to travel chaos and cause flooding.The country will be placed under two separate yellow weather warnings on Thursday, November 10, and Friday, November 11.Both the east and west coast of Scotland are set to be hit with strong winds that could exceed 60mph, and the northwest in particular will also experience heavy rain.The warnings have been issued by the Met Office there is a chance that roads and railways could face disruptions.Here is everything you need to know about the warnings, including when they will take place, how long they will last, and what to expect.A yellow warning for rain will be in place from 12pm on November 10 until 3pm on November 11.

While this is a rain warning, the Met Office has also warned that areas could be bashed with strong winds.The Met Office states: "A band of rain will become slow-moving across northwest Scotland through the remainder of Thursday and for much of Friday before gradually clearing eastward later in the day. "Many places are likely to see 40-80 mm of rain during this period, with a few areas of higher ground receiving 100 mm or more.

The rain will be accompanied by very strong southwesterly winds, gusting 60 mph at times."Highlands & Eilean Siar Na h-Eileanan Siar HighlandA separate wind warning will be in place tomorrow, impacting Edinburgh, parts of the Central Belt and the Scottish Borders.

It will last from 6am until 11am - so could impact morning commuters.The Met Office warning reads: "Southwesterly winds will be very strong at times during Friday morning, particularly over and to the east of high ground, where gusts of 60-65 mph are likely at times."SW Scotland,
