Meghan Markle's 'revenge' from royal family exposed at wedding to Prince Harry

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married five years now in what was described at the time as a "fairytale wedding" at St George's Chapel in Windsor back in 2018 which paved the way for the royal couple ever since.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to leave the monarchy behind when they stepped down from the institution two years later and moved across to the US where they have since attempted to kick-start new careers for themselves.But all those years ago on their big day there could have been a thinly veiled dig at the new royal couple in the choice of vehicle that took former Suits actress Meghan and her mum Doria to the venue for the ceremony.The mum and daughter are believed to have been in the same Rolls-Royce that was used to transport the late Wallis Simpson to the funeral of her late husband Prince Edward back in 1972, reports the Mirror.Both events were said to have used a maroon Phantom IV that has allegedly been in the family for decades.

It was delivered to the late Queen Elizabeth back in 1950 just two years prior to her taking to the throne.Wallis, similarly to Meghan had been a divorcee prior to her marriage into the Royal family, and was at the heart of an "abdication crisis" prior to her husband's death.
