Joe Otterson TV Reporter A new series set in the world of “Suits” is in very early development, Variety has confirmed with sources.

The new show would hail from Aaron Korsh, the creator of “Suits.” At this time, it would not be a spinoff, prequel, or sequel to the original show, but rather would feature entirely new characters in a new setting.

Nothing is finalized as of yet, but given the recent success of “Suits” on streaming, it is believed to be a high priority for NBCUniversal.

No network is attached to the project at this time. “Suits” and its spinoff “Pearson” originally aired on USA Network, but given the fact that network has largely moved away from scripted fare of late, it is doubtful any potential new show would land there.
