Mayhem on Salford Quays as residents woken up by huge 2am fireworks display
manchestereveningnews.co.ukResidents in Salford Quays were woken up by a deafening fireworks display at 2am. Video footage capturing the powerful display shows rockets being let off amid a volley of blasts and colours exploding up from MediaCityUK.
Residents said the fireworks lasted for a few minutes - they also reported hearing voices shouting before all went quiet again.

Shelley Chuicharoen, a MediaCityUK resident, said the loud blasts woke her up. She said: "The fireworks were set off just outside the ITV building in MediaCityUK, next to the Coronation Street set.
