Matt O'Riley has told his Celtic team-mates they will come a cropper if they don’t put their foot back on the gas. The midfielder fears the Hoops won’t keep churning out wins if they play as poorly as they did against Livingston on Wednesday.
O’Riley understands his manager Ange Postecoglou’s post-match criticism of his team, despite the 2-1 victory restoring their nine point lead at the top of the Premiership.
Asked if a failure to convert chances will inevitably cost Celtic points at some stage, The Danish U21 international said: “We didn’t make things easy for ourselves [against Livingston].
The goal we lost was really poor for a number of reasons and we probably weren’t clinical enough again with our chances which is kind of a recurring theme, especially earlier this season in the Champions League.
