Manchester United will play Real Betis in their second pre-season tour friendly in San Diego on July 31. The game is sandwiched between games against Arsenal in Los Angeles on July 27 and Liverpool in South Carolina on August 3.

United are returning to the Snapdragon Stadium, where their academy players lost 3-1 in an eventful friendly against Wrexham last July, to play Betis.

The Snapdragon logo will appear on United's shirts as the principal shirt sponsor from next season. United beat Betis 5-1 on aggregate in the Europa League round-of-16 last season and also lost to the Spanish side in a winter friendly during the 2022 World Cup. “Pre-season matches are designed to give our team the best possible preparation for the start of the Premier League season, while also providing top-class entertainment for fans," United football director John Murtough said. United will be based at UCLA for the majority of their tour.

They are expected to take the short journey to San Diego on the day of the Betis match. There are due to be games in Trondheim and Edinburgh on July 10 and 15.
