Manchester Airport is facing calls to make changes to its drop-off payment system, with motorists branding it unfair and a 'rip-off'.
They say huge queues to get out of the car parks - and barriers not working - have taken them over the 10-minute period, forcing them into paying £25 as a result.
Drop-off payments are in place at all three of the airport's terminals, T1, T2 and T3. Motorists are able to drop-off family and friends directly outside the terminals, but there's a cost of £5 for five minutes, which rises to £6.20 up to 10 minutes.
Anything over that, however, incurs an 'overstay charge' of £25 - for anything over 10 minutes.
