Man rushed to hospital after suspected stabbing at pub

A man has been rushed to hospital after a suspected stabbing at a pub in Hyde. Police are at the scene outside the White Lion, in Hyde, after being called at around 4pm today (May 18).

Officers were called to reports of a suspected stabbing. A man has been taken to hospital for medical treatment, however the extent of his injuries are unknown.

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody for questioning. A cordon is in place outside the pub, on the corner of Clarendon Street and Market Place. "The extent of the injuries sustained by a man are unclear at this time whilst medical treatment is received at hospital, whilst an arrest of a man has been made in connection with this incident. "A scene is still in place whilst enquiries continue.
