Man pleads not guilty to murder of woman as trial date set

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a woman in Wigan. Caroline Gore was discovered at a tower block at around 8pm on October 30 last year.

The 44-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at Douglas House in Scholes near the town centre by emergency services. David Liptrot, 56, appeared at Manchester Crown Court this morning (January 8) accused of her murder.
