A driver who fled after leaving three people with life-changing injuries in a hit-and-run returned to his smashed-up car to grab suitcases - before flying off to Tenerife.

Taylor Moss ploughed his BMW into an oncoming car while attempting to overtake a taxi, before hitting another vehicle. The 24-year-old fled the scene with his partner while paramedics treated his victims.

Callous Moss then returned to his car moments later to retrieve his suitcases before jetting off on a two-week holiday. Manchester Crown Court heard the incident unfolded at around 1.10am on September 17 last year.

Greater Manchester Police was called out to the serious crash involving three vehicles on Rochdale Road, in Oldham.
