Man charged with attempted murder after Glasgow 'stabbing'

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder in Glasgow. We told how a 23-year-old man was allegedly stabbed in Kingsacre Road, King's Park, on February 23.

Officers race to the scene at around 8.30pm and the man was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.Medics on February 24 described his condition as "critical".Footage from the scene showed a section of Kingsacre Road sealed off by cops.Two police motors patrolled the cordon while a number of officers were seen pacing along the road.At the time, the force told the Record they were following "a number of lines of enquiry".They urged anyone with information was urged to come forward.This morning,Greater Glasgow Police Division revealed that 23-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident, which they are treating as attempted murder.The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.A statement released from police read: "A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 23-year-old man on Kingsacre Road, King's Park, Glasgow, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022."The 23-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 21 April."
