Man and woman in court charged with 'attempted murder' after alleged 'gas leak' in Scots town

A man and woman have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after an alleged suspected gas leak in Stenhousemuir on Saturday.

Christopher McTaggart, 40, and Stacey Archibald, 31, appeared on petition at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday. The pair, of Larbert, are charged with two counts of attempted murder and culpable and reckless conduct.Both made no plea and the case against them was committed for further examination.As previously reported by the Record, emergency services raced to King Street in Stenhousemuir at around 2.25pm on Saturday, April 23 in response to a suspected gas leak.

A woman, 31, and man, 40, were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment, but they were not thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
