It’s so layered and it feels a little bit like playing God,” Ackerman, 42, tells The Post. “I was so curious to see how these characters would be affected by this test, and what taking it would do to a possibly great relationship that they’re already in — or finding their soulmate and what that means.”In Ackerman’s episode, “Break on Through,” she stars as troubled Martha, who meets the equally lost Kurt (Charlie Heaton, “Stranger Things”) one lonely evening.“Charlie is so sweet, and so committed and invested.
I love performing with actors who are in it for the right reasons,” she says. “They just get into character and do anything for that character.
