Lisa Olivia Munn (born July 3, 1980) is an American actress. She began her professional career in television journalism before becoming an actress. She is known for playing the character Sloan Sabbith on the Aaron Sorkin's drama series The Newsroom (2012-2014) on HBO. She was also a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart from 2010 to 2011.

The Farewell director Lulu Wang responded to a tweet by former NPR reporter Kat Chow that read "I want to know their names, who and what they loved, the people they had waiting for them at home, everything they hoped for.
I want to know the fabric of their days and the contexts of their lives." Wang quote tweeted, saying "I know these women. The ones working themselves to the bone to send their kids to school, to send money back home.
