Lucy-Jo Hudson was left telling her co-stars to 'stop it' as they shared gushing tributes as her Hollyoaks exit aired. Viewers of the Channel 4 soap know the actress for playing Donna-Marie Quinn having joined as the character back in 2018 for a couple of on-off appearances before returning properly in 2021.
In recent weeks and months, Donna-Marie has been seen struggling to cope over her daughter Juliet Nightingale's terminal cancer diagnosis, and subsequent death, which resulted in her relapsing on multiple occasions as she the drug addict struggled to cope her her tragic loss.
But during Thursday night's E4 episode (September 14), Hollyoaks fans saw Lucy-Jo's time in the soap come to an end as Donna-Marie's storyline reached a sad conclusion.
She was kicked out by Leela Lomax after being unable to get on top of her drug habit, while grieving for her daughter.
