Frankie Bridge has opened up about the terrifying moment doctors discovered a benign tumour on her neck, leaving her fearing the worst.

The former The Saturdays singer, 35, shared her harrowing experience on Loose Women, revealing that she was left feeling terrified after doctors found the mass during an MRI scan prompted by debilitating headaches.

Frankie, who is a devoted mother to sons Parker, 9, and Carter, 7, underwent the scan out of precaution, especially given her mother's battle with cancer. The news came as a shock to Frankie, who initially went into the scan “just to be safe”, only to be met with the terrifying diagnosis.

Frankie explained: “I suffer really bad with headaches, so I recently had an MRI and just by chance, they found something on my neck so I had to have another MRI and it turned out to be a tumour, which is benign and it doesn't need treatment. “It's absolutely fine but for that first week where the doctor had rang me to tell me the results of the MRI - I was on my own and Wayne was away - instantly I just thought, 'that's it'. "I thought it was my time, I thought I was going to be sick for a long time, or you know, that it would be the end for me.
