Tirzah has released her third studio album, ‘trip9love…???’, and has announced a handful of tour dates beginning this week.The LP is available to stream now ahead of its physical release on November 17 via Domino. The UK artist created the album alongside producer and long-time musical collaborator Mica Levi over the course of a year. Both Levi and Tirzah wrote and recorded ‘trip9love…???’ at each of their homes as well as parts of South East London and Kent.According to a press release, the tracks on the album were built using “piano loops on top of one beat, distortion added, then romantic vocal toplines.” Its lyrics are centred around themes of love that were both real and imagined.

Empire State Bastard have announced that Benefits will serve as opening support during their 2023 winter UK and EU tour.Kicking off on November 2, both bands will play the first show of the tour at the Alhambra venue in Paris, before making stops in Cologne, Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamberg that same week.From there, they will start the UK leg of the tour with a show in Cardiff on November 9. As we reported last week, Chatrian had been expected to stay on beyond 2024, and was surprised to learn that the German body which oversees the festival, Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin (KBB), announced that it would no extend his contract. The org had previously said it would abandon the model of having an executive director and an artistic director and return instead to having a single director, following the next edition.

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief The Busan International Film Festival put aside many of its recent internal and local political problems to Tuesday unveil a large selection ranging from bleeding edge art titles to international festival favorites. “The difficult times are not behind us, but hard work has made this year’s festival better than ever,” said programmer and interim festival chief Nam Dong-chul, speaking at an online press conference. International guests expected to attend the festival include Luc Besson, Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing, Japanese directors Hamaguchi Ryusuke and Kore-Eda Hirokazu, Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf, and Korean Americans Justin Chon (“Gook”) and Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari”). Hong Kong-based superstar Chow Yun-fat has been named as Busan’s Asian Filmmaker of the Year and will be in person to receive the award.

In a personal statement posted on the festival website Saturday, he wrote: “For the past four years at the Berlinale, I have been fortunate enough to work along with extraordinary people, as in love with movies as I am, who are totally dedicated to revitalizing one of the world’s great film festivals.

U2 have announced ‘Zoo Station’ – an immersive experience for fans, designed ahead of their upcoming Sphere shows.Opening on September 28, the immersive fan portal, called ‘Zoo Station: A U2:UV Experience’ is designed to help fans gather a deeper understanding of the band’s acclaimed album ‘Achtung Baby’.Aiming to provide “a unique opportunity to interact with U2’s rich artistic legacy”, ‘Zoo Station’ is developed by Vibee, a Live Nation-founded destination experience company and VIP package provider, and is set to be the “ultimate hub for fans”.A ​​‘Zoo TV Cinema’ is featured within the experience, which has been curated by The Edge, as well as an Anton Corbijn Gallery, limited edition merchandise, VIP lounges and much more.It was developed in collaboration with Gavin Friday, U2’s longtime Creative Director, and also had direct input from the band members. Naman Ramachandran Paris-based sales company Charades has boarded international sales on “Stolen,” the only Indian feature selected at the Venice Film Festival. The film, which will bow within the festival’s Horizons Extra strand, tells the story of the havoc that ensues when opposite worlds collide after two urban young men become embroiled in an impoverished mother’s desperate journey to be reunited with her child. It is described as a “breathtaking action thriller” and the “hidden gem in world cinema” by Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera.
