Livingston forward Joel Nouble admits he understands St Johnstone's anger after his tumble inside the box rescued a point in Perth for the Lions. The 28-year-old was involved in the penalty incident in the early stages of the first half when he went down after a nudge from Liam Gordon.
The Saints skipper was then sent-off seven minutes from time for a challenge on the same Livi man - with St Johnstone announcing today that they are appealing that decision from whistler Graham Grainger.Nouble confessed there wasn't much in the spot-kick incident, although the contact was needless from Gordon with the striker trying to keep the ball in play.
Sean Kelly duly swept home the penalty to cancel out Dara Costelloe's first half opener as the sides settled for a 1-1 draw.Nouble said: "I felt contact but if St Johnstone are annoyed by it I can understand why.
If it was at the other end, I’d feel it was a bit soft. I was surprised the ref gives that one when I get many worse challenges in games and don’t get the foul. “But from the Livingston point of view, I’m happy to hear the whistle.
