Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has been awarded an honorary doctorate today (Wednesday) and was celebrated by one of TV's most-loved faces, Jay Blades MBE.
The singer said she was 'honoured to be recognised', as friend and mentor Jay said she 'has never forgotten her roots'. The 31-year-old was given the gong at Buckinghamshire New University.
It's to mark the High Wycombe star’s successful musical career as well as her campaigning for racial equality as co-founder of The Black Fund charity.
Leigh-Anne got to visit her hometown of High Wycombe to collect the gong and catch up with Jay, who is the university's chancellor.
