BGT fans 'feel old' as show's second-ever winner reveals he's 30 - and recreates iconic moment

Britain's Got Talent fans have confessed that they "feel old" after watching previous winner George Sampson.The then 14-year-old dancer George won the show with his famous Singing in the Rain routine back in 2008.

After winning the second series of BGT, George then went on to land acting roles in the likes of Waterloo Road. Now the performer has revealed that he is 30 years old while recreating his iconic lamppost trick he performed during the BGT final.

Posting a video of the dance move on TikTok , he said: "I made a deal with my stream that once we passed 100 subscribers on TikTok Live that I would go out an find a lamppost to recreate my 2008 Singing in the Rain trick. "I'm 30 years old, it's been 16 years, have we still got it in the bag?" George then went on to perform the section of his routine, proving that he has still got the moves.

One fan commented: "George Sampson is 30... where does the time go!" Another added: "It’s never been 16 years, I am OLD." A third said: "Can’t believe you’re 30 years old..I still remember your winning performance like it was yesterday." While someone else commented: "the way you've just made me feel well old!" And another added: "I remember being a fan girl 16 years ago following you around hotels all for that one photo, now I feel old." Someone else said: "Thank you for making me realise I’m old now." And another fan commented: "Did you just say 2008 and 30 years old, time is flying." After winning BGT , he was seen on various TV shows and inked promotional contracts, even venturing into music before amicably parting ways with Simon Cowell in 2009.
