In the past, the 60-year-old actress, who played Phoebe Buffay, has said that she didn’t want to watch the show because she didn’t want to risk not liking her work.

But if I make it about Matthew, then that’s OK,” Lisa told The Hollywood Reporter. “And it’s just celebrating how hilarious he was — and that is what I want to remember [about him].” Matthew died on October 28, 2023 from the acute effects of the anesthetic ketamine.
