Prince Harry and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have been firm friends for well over a decade, with the Duke of Sussex even giving the Glastonbury superstar a shout-out in his 2023 memoir, Spare.
They first made a public appearance together in 2014 when Chris, aged 47, penned a song for the inaugural Invictus Games. On a snapshot shared via Coldplay's Twitter account, Prince Harry, then 39, was seen in the recording studio with the band prior to the song's debut.
The tune, performed by a choir at the Invictus Games Opening Ceremony, took inspiration from William Ernest Henley's iconic 19th-century poem, Invictus.
Harry called upon Chris and his fellow band members again for his Sentebale concert at Kensington Palace back in June 2016, an event aimed to raise funds and consciousnes towards HIV.
