According to the latest data from Public Health England, rates have gone up in Oldham, Manchester, Salford and Trafford. Transmission rates have gone down in Rochdale, Bolton, Wigan, Stockport, Tameside and Bury.

As a whole, the infection rate for Greater Manchester currently stands at 44.7 per 100,000. This is higher than the national average of 27.8 per 100,000.

In the week ending April 13, a total of 1,267 people tested positive for coronavirus across the region. This has gone down by 132 compared to the previous week - meaning the rate was down 9
