One of the King's Guards was forced to hit the emergency button last week after his distressed horse began to behave out of his control.Video footage captured the stressful moment that guard decided to stop abruptly while he was stationed outside the Horse Guards in London.

The unsettled animal appears disturbed by something while a tourist posed for a picture next to the royal guard and the horse began shaking its head and shifting uncomfortably on the spot.Huge crowds watched on with many filming the incident as the guard tried his best to keep his horse calm and under control, the Mirror reports. However, he is eventually seen giving in and hitting the button for help after the spooked animal shifts to the far side and bumps into the wall before coming back again, shaking and bucking its head. The incident all took place beside a warning sign that reads: “Beware horse may kick or bite” and lasted for around ten minutes, bringing in busy crowds of royal fans who watched on.

Across the video, the house can be seen mouthing, seemingly uncomfortable with its bit and it's not clear from the clip if anyone appeared to respond to the call. The King's Guards are posted for public duties outside Buckingham and St James’ Palaces and at Horse Guards on Whitehall.Whilst their role is mostly ceremonial, they do also have a practical job as apart of the British Army’s Household Division and they patrol the palaces.Social media users have expressed their concern about the spooked black horse online as one wrote: “Clearly, the horse is stressed for a reason.

The guard has wonderful horsemanship. "As for the tourists, this is not a modelling opportunity - take your photo and move away.
