King Charles is said to have acknowledged his stateside grandchildren during a speech at his post-Coronation family lunch, wishing grandson Archie a happy birthday.

The new monarch's London Coronation fell on the same day as the little one's fourth birthday, with Harry rushing back to the US straight after the ceremony to celebrate his eldest's milestone.

Harry's attendance to the Coronation marked his first public appearance alongside the royals since he lambasted his family in his controversial memoir Spare, which was released earlier this year.
