King Charles made a comment about not getting too close to the Buckingham Palace balcony during the weekend’s Coronation celebration, says a professional lipreader.
The new monarch, 74, and Queen Consort Camilla were officially crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday - with thousands of people lining the streets of London to take in the pageantry while millions more watched on at home.
Following the historic ceremony, the King and Queen Consort proceeded through the capital in the Gold State Coach and returned to Buckingham Palace for their iconic balcony moment a little before 2.30pm.
As royal fans, undeterred by the grey grizzly conditions, took the positions outside the palace - Charles and Camilla stepped out onto the balcony, joined by family members including Prince William and Kate Middleton - alongside the Waleses’ children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
