In a heartwarming moment from rehearsals for his Coronation, King Charles can be seen making jokes about his so-called "sausage fingers" sending his son Prince William into fits of laughter.
The king's so-called 'sausage fingers' have drawn much attention from eagle-eyed royal watchers over the years - and now the monarch has been seen to joke about them himself.
A new BBC documentary about the King, set to air on Boxing Day, reveals a lighthearted moment when Charles joked with William about his swollen hands, while they were rehearsing for the Coronation ceremony. The rehearsal for the coronation will be aired in Charles III: The Coronation Year, which shows Prince William using his hands to close a small clasp holding a lavish robe around his father.
When William was filmed closing the clasp on his father's robe, he made a cheeky quip to his dad. He said: "On the day, that’s not going to go in." Charles replied with a smile as he said: "No, you haven't got sausage fingers like mine." In previous years, Charles has poked fun at his large digits he dubbed 'sausage fingers', which have often gone viral online if they have been prominent in a photograph.
