Kelly Cates has opened up about her decision to leave Sky Sports back in 2006 without another job lined up. Known for her association with football and the Premier League on the broadcasting giant, the 49-year-old journalist made a sudden exit from Sky after her initial tenure.
At the dawn of the new millennium, Cates was recognised for her presenting prowess, whether anchoring in the Sky Sports studio or reporting live from the field.
During the decade she spent away from Sky, Cates contributed to BBC Radio 5Live's 606 show and hosted the English Football League highlights on Channel 5.
