Summer signing Chido Obi-Martin marked his full debut for Manchester United's Under-18s by scoring a hat-trick within the first 15 minutes against Nottingham Forest at Carrington on Saturday lunchtime.
Fresh from a 27-minute cameo appearance against Sunderland last weekend, the former Arsenal youngster, who finalised a move to Old Trafford last month, was rewarded with his maiden start for Adam Lawrence's team.
The 16-year-old wasted no time in justifying his inclusion, putting United ahead with just 13 seconds on the clock, pouncing on an under-hit back pass, rounding Forest goalkeeper Keehan Willows and tapping into an empty net. The ball landed kindly at Obi-Martin's feet, he took a touch to set himself and doubled his tally. He completed his hat-trick just 14 minutes in, firing home a first-time shot from a central position inside the box after meeting a low cross from James Scanlon.
