Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, had a tough wait to find out she needed cancer treatment while recovering from her abdominal surgery in January. The Princess shared on Friday, 22 March, that she had been receiving treatment after cancer was found in follow up tests.
The news shocked millions who had been wondering about her health and location for weeks after she was admitted to the London Clinic on January 16 for what Kensington Palace called "planned abdominal surgery".There's no doubt that the past two months have been difficult for 42 year old Kate as she is unlikely to return to public duties until Easter, based on medical advice.
In the royal's announcement on Friday evening, Kate said she was first told her condition was "non-cancerous", but despite feeling a huge relief at first, tests after the operation showed that cancer was there.
She then had to wait over a month while recovering from the first surgery before starting "preventative chemotherapy".The public don't know the exact details of her surgery or the type of cancer, reports the Mirror.
