'Happy and smiley' midwife, 25, took life in 'heat of the moment' after night out

A 'happy and smiley' 25-year-old midwife was tragically found dead after a night out. Emily Hockenhull locked her boyfriend out of her home after argued following a night out, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.

She then sent him 'alarming texts', an inquest into her death heard, before he alerted the police. Officers smashed their way into the property in Biddulph and tragically found her dead.

Her dad Nigel Hockenhull told the hearing: "Emily was a warm, kind and loving soul who loved life and lived it. "We think the decision to take her own life was a sporadic decision done in the moment.
