Kate Middleton has launched a new taskforce as part of her campaign to help children and put a focus on their early development.
The 41-year-old Princess of Wales gave a speech at the first meeting of the Business Taskforce for Early Childhood on Tuesday morning (March 21) at the NatWest bank headquarters in London, England. Kate talked about the importance of the first five years of a child’s life and how those crucial years play a major part in a child’s development. It is also about building healthy communities in which they can grow. Because the healthy development of our children relies on healthy adults.
So this is why we all have a part to play,” she said (via People). “And that is why I’m standing here in front of you, to ask you, some of Britain’s most influential business leaders, for your support in helping create the societal change that is needed.” Kate added, “I have spoken before about the need to make early childhood the societal equivalent of climate change.
