Kate has now cancelled all her work commitments across TV and radio to look after Derek Draper, who has been unwell following his recent heart attack, amid his ongoing battle with long Covid.
Ranvir Singh replaced Kate on GMB on Thursday 21 December as Kate received thousands of comments of support online. Fans reached out to the TV presenter across social media, as one penned: “My mother and I send our best wishes to you and your family, our thoughts are with you in the awful time you are going through .We hope you have the best possible Christmas and new year”, while another added: “Big hugs to Kate Garraway and her family . . .
