The comedy couple announced the news of their split on Friday with a statement which read: ”After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated.
We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.” The statement continued: "As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being.
We will be making no further comment.” The news came as a huge shock to many fans, as the split announcement came just one week after the pair announced their series, Meet The Richardsons would be back for a fifth series.The hilarious mockumentary series, which airs on UKTV's Dave, is due to hit our screens later this month, while offering a firsthand look inside their relationship.
