Jared Padalecki Extends Deal With CBS Amid Rumors He'll Star in 'Fire Country' Spinoff Series

His re-up comes as he gears up to make his debut on the hit series Fire Country and amid talk that he could star in a spinoff, tentatively called Fire Country: Surfside. Fire Country returns to CBS for its third season on October 18, and Jared‘s involvement was announced in August.
He’ll play “a SoCal firefighter and maverick with a surfer swagger who is a force to be reckoned with” named Camden. Jared only has a recurring role on the show, but the potential spinoff is said to be in the early phases of development.
