Fans of ITV's Vera have thrown their support behind Brenda Blethyn after she made an emotional announcement on social media.
The star of the much-loved drama series shocked fans when she announced she was leaving the role earlier this year. The actress has played DCI Stanhope in the detective series for 13 years since 2011.
Today, taking to social media, Brenda, 78, confirmed that she had finished her final day of filming. She said she was feeling 'tired and emotional' after wrapping up the fourteenth series of the show, which will air on ITV later this year.
