A new face is set to arrive in Emmerdale in the new year, with Caleb Milligan's estranged wife Ruby Fox-Milligan making her way to the village.

Actress Beth Cordingly has been cast in the role of Ruby and will make her soap debut in January 2024. Ruby is described as both fiery and unpredictable, and is a devoted mum to son Nicky (Lewis Cope) who arrived in the village in December 2022, alongside father Caleb (William Ash).

Emmerdale bosses have hinted that drama will follow Ruby's arrival, as she is a "ticking time bomb", who will be unhappy if Caleb has found happiness without her with a new family.

Beth, 47, boasts a successful career in TV and theatre, having appeared in shows such as The Bill, Dead Set and Family Affairs.
