Emmerdale fans were left puzzled over an update about missing Gus Malcolms, Rhona Goskirk's ex-husband who vanished, leaving his little girl Ivy in the village.

Viewers will remember that Gus arrived in the village earlier this year, seeking help from his ex, Rhona. He told her he was in a new relationship with Lucy and wanted to start a family, but they couldn't, reports The Mirror.

Gus revealed he still had the embryos they'd frozen while together and wanted to use them, but needed Rhona's permission as she was the other parent.

Rhona was shocked to hear this as she thought the embryos had been destroyed. After meeting Lucy, she considered letting them use the embryos before changing her mind.
