Tracy-Ann Oberman is returning to EastEnders to reprise her role as the iconic Chrissie Watts almost 20 years since her last appearance on the BBC soap. The actress, who famously left Walford in December 2005 after her character was sent to prison for the murder of her husband 'Dirty' Den Watts (Lesley Grantham), will make a triumphant return this autumn.
EastEnders fans will remember the moment Chrissie alongside Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) and Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) buried Den under the floor of The Vic barrel store, but her actions were soon discovered and came an end to her time in Walford.
While Chrissie was only on the soap for over a year and a half, she certainly left her mark with a heap of drama and a lengthy list of enemies.
Now, it has been confirmed by BBC bosses that she will be making a shocking return this autumn, which is sure to ruffle some feathers in Albert Square.
