‘Incredible’ mum told she had weeks to live after Lidl sent her home with bad back

A mum who thought she just had backache was told that she had just eight weeks to live after being diagnosed with cancer. Christine Emery had always suffered with backache but after the pain became worse she sought medical advice.

The 50-year-old, from Warrington, visited multiple doctors who thought Christine could be suffering from arthritis or gallstones.

However, the mum-of-two was told last month that she had stage four pancreatic cancer. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Chistine’s son Ben Emery, 29, said: "It was only the fourth doctor who actually examined her stomach.

The first one said it could be arthritis, the second one said it could have been gallstones. The third one I think sent her for bloods.
