Imax has named former Lionsgate and Netflix publicity veteran Julie Fontaine as SVP Marketing in what is a newly created position at the large-format exhibitor. She will report directly to Imax chief marketing officer Denny Tu.

IMAX has hired Julie Fontaine, most recently a film publicity VP at Netflix, as its senior vice president of marketing, the company announced Thursday. The newly created SVP of marketing role will see Fontaine overseeing content marketing for IMAX.
