Jay Slater's heartbroken mother has spoken of her 'living nightmare' and says she wished she'd told her son not to go to Tenerife before he went missing.

The 19-year-old, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, was reported missing by his friends on Monday (June 17). He had flown out to holiday on the island with pals for the NRG music festival but disappeared after going to stay with people he met after a night out.

A major search is continuing on the Spanish island, involving police dogs, mountain rescue teams and swathes of Jay's friends and family.
