'I tried the 5-star soft and thick New Look £40 shacket to see if it lives up to its hype'
ok.co.ukWho else is a little bit relieved that autumn seems to finally be settling in? The warm weather has been lovely, but I'm desperate to start wearing some cosier new-season jackets and jumpers.
One item in particular I've been wanting to wear out is New Look's Cream Wool Effect Double Pocket Shacket. £39.99 here.The chic shirt-like jacket has some very impressive reviews from shoppers online who label it "luxury-looking", "super soft" and "the perfect fit"., so I had to get my hands on it for myself to find out how it looks and feels.The jacket itself is made from a heavy-duty boiled wool effect fabric, which worried me a little because wool-effect fabrics sometimes have a tendency to feel scratchy on the skin.
It also features a button-up front and two pockets. The colour I picked is a lovely cream, which has a slight pink tinge in real life, but you can also shop it in a grey or a black colourway if you prefer darker colours.
What I love most about this shacket is its oversized fit. Sometimes jackets come and the sleeves feel so tight or come up too short, but this was oversized without looking overly baggy.The material is also super soft, as the reviews indicated.
