"Consider whether you prefer a cabin with a balcony, ocean view or an interior [cabin]."In his video, Preston warned tourists not to book the first cabin they see, pointing out that nearly all cruise ships offer a variety of different types of cabins at different prices.The most affordable places to stay on a cruise are interior cabins which are situated in the middle of the ship and don't have a window.Guests willing to spend a bit more can opt for an ocean view cabin, which comes with a porthole-style window, or a balcony cabin, where passengers can relax in the open air.However, tourists planning to book a cruise should also think about which deck their cabin is on - as higher decks often come with higher price tags.Usually many of the ship's features, like the buffet and swimming pools, are found on one of the top decks.

However if you're someone who gets seasick easily, it's best to avoid booking a cabin on a higher deck as they tend to move more than other parts of the ship.If you're after some peace and quiet, try to find a cabin on a middle deck.
