Tonight's I'm A Celebrity... South Africa sees Fatima Whitbread open up about her childhood, which saw her live in a number of different children's homes.

Speaking to Helen Flanagan and Carol Vorderman, the former Olympian said: "In the children's home when we were kids we always had assigned jobs and we were always in that routine. "You had to be cause there were so many of us.The only way to get your pocket money was to make sure your jobs were done." She continued: "I had two people in my life, Cor and Auntie Rae, and Auntie Rae was an East End girl.

She only lived down the road to me, so I'd look out this little port window and watch when she went home. "I'd be really sad and I'd look out the window, to you know, where she goes and this one day I decided to pick all the daffodils and I sort of hid them behind my back and I knocked on the door. "And when she opened the door I said 'will you be my mum?' Well I don't know where I was coming from but I asked her if she'll be my mum. "And she said 'Fats I've got to be mum to all you kids so I can't always be here, so when you have..." Pausing as she became emotional, Fatima became teary as she said: "Sorry I shouldn't started that conversation.

What I'm trying to say is she taught me a lot about looking after the other kids." Carol and Helen were quick to hug their campmate as she became emotional thinking about her past.
